Armada of UFOs flies over St. Petersburg

Aficionados of the unexplained were over the moon in August after multiple UFO sightings were registered in St. Petersburg.

The unexplained guests appeared on the evening of 20 August. According to observers, an armada of glowing orbs illuminated the night sky as traffic moved about the streets below.

The unidentified flying objects were filmed hovering above the famed Kazan Cathedral, and lights appeared to flicker from within the supposed spaceships.

It is not the first time that curious, seemingly otherworldly contraptions have been spotted in Russia.

Two years ago, Russian authorities declassified a raft of documents relating to spottings of unidentified objects by the navy.

The documents included strange goings in the infamous so-called Bermuda Triangle. Likewise, fishermen reported sightings of strange lights and objects emerging from lakes.

However, the ITAR-TASS news agency cited that “an illusion of a UFO encounter can result from large fish shoals, floating garbage or natural phenomena.”
