Chinese Warships In St. Petersburg

Two vast ships from China's navy arrived today in the port of St. Petersburg, but thankfully there was no cause for alarm from the local citizens. The guided missile destroyer Guangzhou and supply ship Weishanhu sailed into harbour with five hundred sailors on board on a friendship tour designed to reinforce ties between the two superpowers, during the annum in which Russia is celebrating the 'Year of China'.

After their St. Petersburg visit the two vessels will continue their public relations mission by joining British, Spanish and French navies in search and rescue exercises.
