"The Color of Japan" in the Art of Keisuke Serizawa opens in St. Petersburg this November and runs through to January 2007. Serizawa was a pioneering textile designer of note and his many creations, illustrations and folk art won him many a fan. In fact he has two museums devoted to him in his homeland. Sundays at FishFabrique Club

From 1994 FishFabrique has been one of the most popular clubs in St. Petersburg and one of the best. Since that time almost every St.Petersburg band has played here and it continues to attract local alternative musicians and cult artists. One of its less renowned features though, is the fact that it showcases a film every Sunday night and will be worth catching with the recent conclusion of the YFestival (independent cinema event). The atmosphere on Sundays is more chilled than during the week, with less head banging and shoulder bumping and more scope for rest with a quiet beer and a sample of the often unique and compelling Russian independent cinema. Doors open at 3pm.
