Don Quixote

A classic and poignant work of Spanish literary fiction makes its mark on the 224th season of the emblematic and historic Mariinsky Theatre. In breif, Don Quixote tells the story of a brave and idealistic man who in a dillussioned state ventures out into the world believing himself to be a moral crusader in knight form, charged with fighting inustice in the name of his beloved Aldonsa. The story is compelling and symbolic, well suited to the iconic and imperial setting of the renowned ballet and opera theatre. If travelling via metro, hop off at either Nevsky Prospekt or Gostiny Dvor. The show starts at 19:00.
